*UPDATE* : We have a 100% Success Rate across ALL our Green Building Fund applications!
Dear Commercial Building Owner,
Chances are that you've probably heard about the Green Building Fund Grant... and how it provides up to $500K towards HVAC (or another CO2 reducing) projects.
You may have even considered applying for the grant but either never got around to it or ( ... like many of our clients) just ran out of time.
Don't delay your application because..
Round 7 is probably the LAST Round.
So far we’ve spent 100+ hours going through all the application guidelines, selection criteria and spent 30+ hours on the phone with AusIndustry to ensure we’re experts in the Green Building Fund.
We go through this effort to identify hidden opportunities and then utilise this knowledge when preparing applications for clients.
Now compare the above approach to how grant applications are typically submitted… by an overworked (and in their mind underpaid) employee who has 10+ other tasks on their plate and just wants to get the submission “over and done with” so they can concentrate on doing “real work” so they can get their bonus.
These type of applications are generally not even assessed as they often do not even the the eligibility criteria.
Or perhaps the grant application is submitted by an energy consulting firm who’s already pocketed an upfront fee ($10,000+). Sure, the application quality is higher than by an "overworked employee"… but how much time would a consultant allocate towards looking for new clients (and upfront fees) versus ensuring clients actually get the grant?
If we end up
taking you as a client, we'll guarantee your success or you don't pay us the Success Fee.
That's right, we're willing to take on all the risk
associated with applying for the grant. Only when you get the grant, will we get our success fee.
Sounds FAIR doesn't
it? We think so and so do our satisfied clients.

Program Objectives:
The Green Building Fund aims to reduce the impact of Australia’s built environment on green house gas emissions by reducing the energy consumed in the operation of commercial office buildings.
The program will provide $30 million in grants in 2011.
The funding targets the owners of existing commercial office buildings. It supports retro-fitting and retro-commissioning of these buildings, to reduce base building energy consumption.
Grants up to $500,000 are available for up to 50% of project costs.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Non tax-exempt body corporate incorporated under a law of the Commonwealth or of a State or Territory
- Owner or part owner of the commercial office building that is the subject of a retro-fitting or retro-commissioning project, or an agent of the owner acting on the owners' behalf
- Able to demonstrate the level of green house gas emissions prior to commencement of the project and the projected savings in green house gas emissions likely to result from the project
- Able to demonstrate an ability to fund the cost of the project not met by the Green Building Fund grant
Eligible Projects:
- Common area lighting
- Heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems
- The building fabric, for example glazing and shading
- Monitoring equipment, building automation systems, and control systems linked to improving the energy efficiency of the building.
Selection Criteria:
1 Potential green house gas emissions reduction (60%)
This is based on projected reductions in carbon dioxide (equivalent) emitted per annum.
Applications must include a statement from a National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS) assessor, of the green house gas emissions prior to commencement of the project, and likely reductions arising from the project.
2 Demonstration potential (20%)
This includes potential to measure and share project outcomes, as well as the application of cost effective new technologies that could be adopted by other building owners.
3 Project design and management (20%)
This includes the clarity, appropriateness and cost-effectiveness of the project plan, as well as the experience and expertise of the applicant and its contractors and other systems to optimise the project outcomes.
